Style Experts Speak: Gladiator Glamour

Around here, we can't help but squeal over all the spring fashion that's just around the corner. Big again this year? The gladiator. And since we know this look can be a liiiiiittle intimidating, we sat down with Style Expert Abby to talk about all the options we have when it comes to incorporating the gladiator into our wardrobes.

The gladiator: if we've seen one, have we seen 'em all?
Ha! Far from it. The best thing about the gladiator is it can rock your wardrobe in so many different ways. From subtle to total outfit-maker—seriously, the gladiator gets it done.

Gladiators can be subtle?
Totally—and chic at the same time! Start with a t-strap sandal with a few ankle straps. It's a classy look, but metallic details and unexpected angles keep it right on trend.

Okay, we're feeling a little more daring. How do we totally embrace the look?
Just keep adding straps (and impact!). Gladiators that hit just above the ankle are perfection, and if you're ready to make the ultimate statement in coolness, try one that lands just below the knee (a great way to add some edge to a sweet skirt or dress)!

Ahhh, we're sold. So what's your fave thing about this bold trend?
Honestly, gladiators are the perfect combination of a right-this-minute trend and easy spring style. Since most of them are flat sandals, they're a comfy choice, but they don't wimp out on the wow-factor. To me, they're one of the best ways ever to say I've got it goin' on in one little (or not-so-little) sandal.
